Anna Kuchina is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Systems Biology (ISB). Her lab develops genomic technologies for uncovering the single-cell biology of bacteria within complex samples such as biofilms, and in challenging environments such as the human host. Her research program aims to resolve rare bacterial phenotypes that influence the whole microbial community, leading to chronic disease and antibiotic resistance.
